The world's leading autograph authentication experts have been pooled together by PSA/DNA to examine and certify your previously signed autographs. Their years of expertise and knowledge in the trade have established an impeccable reputation for providing professional, unbiased, expert opinions.
PSA/DNA uses state of the art technology to protect your genuine valuable collectible from any foul play. Once an item is deemed genuine, the item is marked with invisible DNA-laced ink naked to the eye but verifiable through a specially calibrated infrared laser. In addition, a Certificate or Letter of Authenticity (LOA) that ties our service with your genuine autograph will accompany your item. With their unique alphanumeric number, any interested party can verify authenticity online even as items change hands time after time.

For 3 generations James Spence has been exposed to more autographs than any other in the hobby. Experiencing celebrity signers firsthand and gaining the invaluable experience of witnessing signing habits, Spence has proven this to be instrumental in his profession. Spence also has a Certificate in Forensic Document Examination.
At JSA each item is methodically examined and reviewed by each of their authenticators individually to ensure their expert instinctive impressions are in agreement. This intuitive sense has been developed after many years of examining thousands of autographs. The expert is
extremely familiar with many different variations and evolution of an individual's signature and can quickly identify irregularities evident in a clubhouse, secretarial, or forged signature. The authenticators then collaborate and employ a scoring system for the final determination of an item's authenticity. Certified items are then given a registration number and the tamper-evident label is applied to either the item itself or the Letter of Authenticity.

Global has assembled an all star team of authenticators and the industry’s most sophisticated authentication process. This six step process employs a blend of proprietary state-of-the-art authentication technologies and esthetics. If the item is deemed authentic, each item receives Global's proprietary invisible forensic marker that contains specially coded information unique only to Global. A new generation, tamper evident label bearing a unique serial number, is affixed at your discretion, to the item or the Letter of Authenticity, allowing for easy identification. Printed on security paper, a comprehensive letter outlining the finding of your authenticated item is written, describing the characteristics of the autograph or item as to why it is genuine. Each authenticated item is also accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) that displays the unique matching certification numbers for that item in addition to contact information. After each item has been authenticated, Global downloads the authentication findings of your item into its proprietary “Online Authentication Information System” allowing for easy information exchange and verification.
